Group Hikes

Group hikes are about much more than exercise. They provide dogs with the opportunity to explore nature, build meaningful social relationships, and engage in the activities they were designed to do, including running, sniffing, climbing, swimming, scavenging, and simply being dogs.

Unlike large daycare environments or unpredictable dog park interactions, our hiking groups are intentionally small, carefully matched, and kept as consistent as possible. Dogs are selected based on personality, play style, and compatibility, allowing genuine friendships and social skills to develop over time. Most dogs do not need to meet new dogs every day. They need opportunities to build relationships with familiar ones. By keeping groups consistent and introducing new dogs thoughtfully, we create a social experience that is both enriching and comfortable for the dogs involved.

Each adventure includes opportunities to practice important life skills such as recall, check-ins, name recognition, trail manners, and appropriate play, all within the context of a fun and enriching outdoor experience. Trails are chosen with care, prioritizing low traffic locations, plenty of space to explore, and safe opportunities for swimming and natural enrichment.

Many clients notice that their dogs quickly learn the routine and eagerly anticipate hiking days. The result is often a more fulfilled, confident, socially skilled, and relaxed dog both on and off the trail.

Groups are limited to four dogs per handler to ensure every dog receives individual attention and a safe, positive experience.
